Painter Robot Sketches

It's been a while, but I've been busy! :)

In anticipation to see the new Terminator film and Transformers, I had some fun with Painter and sketched these out in May. I didn't care much for Terminator, but I did enjoy TF2.

Tubby

Here's something fresh off the drawing pad. My inspiration for this pig faced ogre was "The Butcher" which is one of the first boss characters from Diablo I, one of my favorite games of all time. I'll post the painted version once it's done.

Swamp Donkie: Work in Progess

UPDATE: Added the new drawing (without any digital edits). There's more to be done...

April has been a busy month for me. The first part of the month I spent most of my time applying to jobs and hunting for good leads, and the last part of the month I spent traveling to see family down south. This illustration is for my cousin James who is an avid bass angler who has taught me many great things about fishing. James and his brother John and their father Allen took me on the greatest fishing/camping trip I've ever had and they all have shown me so much, I can not thank them enough. We traveresed most of Lake Havasu and part of the Colorado river. If you ever have an opportunity to see the Topac Gorge, do it and you will be amazed at the beauty and wildlife. It's a vacation I needed badly and will never forget. Eventually this image will be used for a tattoo, possibly a full sleeve on the upper half of James' arm or elsewhere, but I am taking it to a fully finished level as an illustration. I haven't really looked at my blog in over two weeks, but I'm back and loaded with inspiration from my trip. I will post more soon, and have a new critter to post as well.

Lake Creature

Here's the painted version so far. I might work on it more, but I need to move on to other concepts. Having fun! More on the way!

Creature Update

Here's a few critters in the works. The guy with four arms is done and the big ogre like guy is just about done. The third is a work in progress, but I thought I'd post the drawing.

New Creatures

Since school ended, I've built up a bit of new creatures. I certainly haven't been twiddling my thumbs, but I thought about drawing myself twiddling my thumbs at one point. This is the first two of many creatures on the way.

BBQ Chicken

This idea came about in October of last year. I had the illustration to about 90% completion just before Halloween and my attention was turned away to work on other projects. It was fun to say the least. Notice that the chicken, after being struck by lightning from the heavens above, did not die, but stood up and now has teeth and bigger muscles. What's the moral of the story? That which does not kill you can only make you stronger. And this is one tough chicken.
